Despina Violari

Despina Violari is a professional actress, singer and dancer. She is making her West End debut as an Ensemble in On Your Feet at the Curve Leicester, London Coliseum and the National Tour.

 

Training:

She attended Studio La Point College in Leeds for a Musical Theatre degree. Also, She went to the Open University of Cyprus, receiving an MA in Theatre Studies.

Film and TV:

Despina appeared in the Bollywood feature film Housefull 3 as a Dancer (2015), and Murder On The Orient Express (2017). Her other onscreen dance credits include Mi Cubita Bella (2016), Lee Cooper TV commercial (2016), C. Ioannides/Love Don’t Cry music video (2016) and Lifetime Learning (event, 2016).

Other Credits:

She took part in the Bachata World Championship in Amsterdam, where she won the 3rd place; the UK Tango Championship in London Dominican, winning 1st and 4th place, and Ted Showcase at Newline Academy. Despina organised salsa workshops in London and Brighton along with Yonly Levya Desdunes and the Liverpool Latin Festival.
