Elia Lo Tauro

Elia Lo Tauro is a Sicilian Born actor known for his works in both English theatre and Hollywood films. Elia grew up in the south of Italy and the UK and is currently based in London. He started his acting training at a young age with Gianni Salvo at the "Piccolo Theatre" in Catania, whereas in London he studied at IDSA and RADA. He also had the opportunity to work with "La Fura Dels Baus", the famous Catalán theatre company in their Oedipe (Edipus Rex). After moving to London, he made his West End debut in The Lion King. Later, he has also performed in several popular English musicals and theatres, including Neverland and Candide. Elia Lo Tauro has also appeared in the blockbuster Bond movie 'Skyfall'. He recently starred in the West End hit musical "On Your Feet".

 

Training:

Elia Lo Tauro graduated with a diploma in Humanities at the Lyceum "Cutelli "of Catania, Italy. He received his professional training from London's IDSA School of Acting and RADA. He has also taken tuitions and courses for dialects and speeches from notable institutes and tutors.

Theatre:

His theatre credits feature several important roles and performances, including Hook in Neverland - The adventures of Peter Pan, Cacambo in Candide, Karna in Mahabharata, Understudy of Banzai in The Lion King, José Fajardo in On Your Feet, Caesar Rodriguez in Saturday Night Fever, understudy of Jordan in Dirty Dancing, and Simon The Zealot in Jesus Christ Superstar. He also worked in the musical Chess and in Carousel and was a featured singer in Forever King of Pop.

TV and Film:

Elia Lo Tauro acted in the BBC production Doctors as Angel Catini and appeared as one of Silva's Boat Crew/Henchman in the James Bond movie Skyfall.
