Irene-Myrtle Forrester

Irene Myrtle Forrester is a London-based actor who has appeared in several famous musicals, TV shows, radio, and other theatres. She made her debut in the West End with the National Theatre's production Nine Night. Among other accolades, her work as the understudy for Rafiki in the Walt Disney Theatrical Productions' Lion King is one of her top performances to date. She is currently playing GG in TINA: The Tina Turner Musical in the West End.

Irene Myrtle Forrester's theatre credit includes Nine Night (National Theatre, Trafalgar Studios), Mama Morton in Chicago (Pitlochry Festival Theatre), Nanny in Before the Party (Pitlochry Festival Theatre), Sadie in The Rise and Fall of Little Voice (Pitlochry Festival Theatre), PC Ping and Genie in Aladdin (Nottingham Theatre), and Understudy for Rafiki in The Lion King (Lyceum Theatres). She has also performed in The Legend of the Lion King (Disneyland Paris), Thoroughly Modern Millie, Hairspray, Purlie, and Black Heroes in the Hall of Fame.

Irene Myrtle Forrester has appeared in several TV shows, including My Hero, Prom in the Park, Songs of Praise, This Morning, MTV Live, MTV Music Awards, MOBO Awards, Olivier Awards, Royal Variety Show, Children in Need, Comic Relief, Top of the Pops, and Andrew Lloyd Webber's 50th Birthday Celebration.
