Ivan de Freitas

Ivan De Freitas is a professional British actor, singer and dancer with experience across theatre and television. Currently, he is an ensemble in & Juliet.

 

Training:

Ivan attended the Middlesex University to study Visual and Performing Arts and London Studio Centre for a degree in Musical Theatre (1999 – 2001). He was the winner of the Lia Williams Cup for Best Performance in a Musical.

Theatre:

His credits in theatre include the UK tour of King and I (2003); Bombay Dreams at St James Theatre Broadway, NY and the Apollo Victoria; the UK tour of Annie Get Your Gun (2005); the original West End cast of Footloose (2006) at the Novello Theatre and Playhouse Theatre; the 2007 Asian tour of Saturday Night Fever; Zorro the Musical (UK tour, 2008); Never Forget in the 2008 UK tour and Savoy Theatre; created the role of Dinero in Sister Act at the London Palladium, 2009; created the role of Willie Lopez in Ghost the Musical (original cast) at the Piccadilly Theatre 2011 and UK tour 2013; Dance Till Dawn (original cast) at Aldwych Theatre and UK tour 2014; created the role of the Dodo in Wonder Land at the National Theatre/MIF 2015; Razoul in Aladdin The Musical (original West End cast) at the Prince Edward Theatre 2016; Priest in Jesus Christ Superstar at the Regent’s Park Theatre 2017; alternate Wally Strand and Merv in Strictly Ballroom at the Piccadilly Theatre 2018; Bouncer in & Juliet the Musical (original cast) at the Shaftesbury Theatre 2019; standby Jafar and Sultan in Aladdin The Musical at the Prince Edward Theatre 2019.
