Lydia Bannister

Lydia Bannister is a London based British actress, best known for her performance in the popular musical Cats. She is an acclaimed dancer and has worked as a dance captain/ assistant dance captain in several theatre projects. She has also been on TV programmes and performed in live award shows and concerts. Lydia is currently acting as Jane Banks in the West End revival of Mary Poppins at the Prince Edward Theatre.

She trained at Laine Theatre Arts, London.

Her theatre credits include Assistant Dance Captain, Demeter, Tantomile and understudy Rumpelteazer/ Jennyanydots in Cats (Royal Caribbean); Ensemble and understudy Genie in Aladdin (Yvonne Arnaud, Guildford); Mimi the Magical Mermaid in Peter Pan (Crewe Lyceum); Jane Banks in Mary Poppins (West End), Susan Parks in Billy Elliot (West End), and Ensemble in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Palladium), Doctor Dolittle the Musical (UK tour), and Me and My Girl (Chichester Festival Theatre). 

TV and Other Credits:

She has appeared in the TV shows Variety Club Awards and Blue Peter (BBC). She also performed as a dancer in Champions League Final Opening Ceremony and Hard-Fi in FA Cup Final (Wembley Stadium).
