Neil McDermott

Born on 15th December 1980, Neil McDermott is a British television and stage actor who is famous for playing the character of Ryan Malloy in BBC 1’s TV soap opera “EastEnders”. He is married to actress Michelle Edwards, and together they started the Mishmak Youth Theatre.

His theatre credits include his appearances as Ordulf in Henry IV (Donmar Warehouse, 2004); Aladdin in Aladdin (Old Vic, 2005-06); Young Buddy in Follies (London Palladium, 2007); Jean Michel in La Cage aux Folles (Menier Chocolate Factory, 2007-08); Lord Farquaad in Shrek the Musical (Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, 2012-13); Chief Weasel in The Wind in the Willows (London Palladium, 2017); Captain Georg von Trapp in The Sound of Music (2017-18) and Evil Lord Hector in Eugenius! (The Other Palace, 2018).
