Paul Ettore Tabone

Paul Ettore Tabone is a Tenor who made his operatic debut with a breath-taking solo performance in the world premiere production of The Dirty Apple by Opera Queensland. He rose to fame as one of the most talented Lyric Tenors in Australia. Paul has gone on to national tour as a member of The Ten Tenors, “Tenorissimo” with Dmand Entertainment.

 

Training:

Paul graduated with a Bachelor of Music Theatre from the Central Queensland University Conservatorium of Music (Australia).

Appearances and Awards:

Both in 2007 and 2009, he was awarded the Most Promising Voice for Music Theatre Award. He also earned the Public Choice Award at the 2014 Canto Festival at Teatro La Fenice.

In 2011/12, he joined Love Never Dies, The Phantom of the Opera sequel by Andrew Lloyd Webber. Paul portrayed the character of Squelch. The next year, Paul became a Young Artist in the Luciano Pavarotti Foundation of Modena. Sharing the stage with Andrea Bocelli and Placido Domingo, he performed in front of a massive 20,000 crowd at the Arena in Verona. The event was a tribute to late Luciano Pavarotti and celebrated the Arena’s 100 years of opera shows. The sold-out show brought the invitation to perform at the house of Luciano Pavarotti as a soloist in 2013.

In 2014, Paul made his professional debut in opera in Verdi Rigoletto at the Opera Nationala Bucuresti. He played Tony in Leonard Bernstein’s West Side Story. He was also seen as B.F. Pinkerton in Puccini’s Madame Butterfly under Massimo Morella’s direction.

2015 also turned out to be a fantastic year for him as he came back for more performances at the Opera Nationala Bucuresti. He played Duca Di Mantova in Stephen Barlow’s Rigoletto. He received an invitation for the role of Squelch in Love Never Dies for the 2015/16 season of Stage Entertainment at the Hamburg Stage Operettenhaus.
