Sam Lathwood

Sam Lathwood is a model and actor, appearing in shows like Cinderella, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Elf the Musical. He is currently in the Marry Poppins cast at the Prince Edward Theatre. Earlier, he was also in the show’s international tour. As a kid, he would finish his school classes and go to the centre of Manchester for acting classes. He studied performing arts at The Swinton High School. He attended Pendleton Sixth Form College for A Level Dance and Musical Theatre. He is also skilled in various dance forms like Ballet and Jazz.

 

Training:

He joined The Arts Educational Schools, London with a full scholarship at the age of 18. He finished drama school in 2012.

His credits include The Pirates of Penzance (Australian tour/Hackney Empire); Hairspray (the UK and Ireland tours); Damn Yankees (Landor Theatre); Disaster! (Charing Cross Theatre); Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Theatre Royal, Drury Lane); Elf: The Musical (Plymouth/Dublin/Manchester); Matilda: The Musical (UK and Ireland tour).

Workshops:

Sam has been part of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (pre-Broadway); Groundhog Day (Old Vic); Vanara: The Musical (London).

Other credits:

Apart from working on theatre, he has also been a singer for Eurosport Winter Olympics 2018 commercial and backing vocalist for Adele at Wembley Stadium.
