Shaun Escoffery

Shaun Escoffery is a British actor and singer. Born in London, he is known as a popular English Soul and R&B singer. His first hit release was "Space Rider", the single published by Oyster Music in March 2001. It also peaked to number 52 in the UK Singles Chart. Since then, he is fast becoming one of the country's most popular and acclaimed soul singers. He was convinced to pursue a career in acting and singing by his childhood friend, Idris Elba, another famous actor and Hollywood celebrity. 

 

Awards:

Shaun has received several notable appreciations and opportunities for his singing. Boxer Lennox Lewis asked him to sing the national anthem before his match with Mike Tyson. In 2007, Shaun was nominated for the prestigious Laurence Olivier Award for his work in the musical Parade.

Theatre:

The highlight of Shaun's theatre credit features his performance as Mufasa in the West End hit musical The Lion King. His other West End credits include Les Misérables, Smokey Joe's Café, Tommy and Mama I Want to Sing.
