About The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical
The story follows Percy Jackson, who lives an ordinary life in New York until he’s shocked to discover he is the half-blood son of the Greek God Poseidon. As he is plunged into a world that some might say is all Greek to him, it turns out to be much bigger than he could possibly have imagined. With newly discovered powers he is unable to control, an unwanted destiny, and a whole textbook’s worth of mythical monsters on his trail, Percy must learn what it means to be a hero. The future of the world hangs in the balance as Percy and his friends embark on an epic adventure that will have you on the edge of your seat.
The bestselling book was first released in 2005 and garnered critical reception. From there, the book was made into a whole series with a total of 18 books. Since then, it was adapted for a film in 2012 starring Logan Lerman, Sean Bean, and Pierce Brosnan, and is now a major TV series on Disney+ that had huge success upon it’s release with 13.3 million viewers in its first six days.

Fantastic musical, and also a great venue. Smallish so not overwhelming and a lovely atmospheric. We took our 9 year old son who loves the books. I’ve never seen him smile like that! From the opening to close, it’s a funny, entertaining and thought provoking show. Great cast and something for everyone. A very encouraging and positive message, which comes across even more so than the books.
My second time seeing the show. Blessed to see Morgan as Percy and Luke! HE ABSOLUTELY KILLED IT! Love this show, its so fun and relaxed and the choreography is amazing!! All the actors are super talented and know the characters they portray so well its a pleasure to watch. Can't wait to see them again!!!
A must see, for every Percy Jackson fan. My daughter had the best time. A great family show ??
It was absolutely amazing! Really hope this carries on going and gets even bigger and better! The crew was amazing at what they done and absolutely brilliant to watch.
Maybe it wasn't my musical of my life.
We had Morgan as Percy in our shown and were absolutely blown away! What a talented cast!
I took my 12 year old son who is a Rick Riordan enthusiast, and we had a wonderful time. The show sped along with great characters and music to keep us entertained. A great night out!
My kids loved it… 13 and 20… thought the cast and singing were fabulous!
Awesome show!
The musical was super fun and genuinely great. Not very book accurate but then again, neither was the film now the show (I said what I said and I stand by that opinion). There were technical difficulties but they handled them rlly well and the actors added a tiny bit of improvisation that was comedy gold. The tickets are pretty inexpensive for a musical so if you have 40 or so bucks to spare i 100% recommend
