Part of the Darbar Festival 2017 at the Sadlers Wells for one night only - A triple bill of vibrant new talents opening with Mythili Prakash, an international star of Bharatanatyam celebrated for her brilliant technique, vivid characterisation and electrifying energy. Followed by the deep unfolding ragas of Debasmita Bhattacharya, a remarkable talent on the sarod joined on the tabla by the intensely rhythmic Gurdain Rayatt.
Dynamic and soulful kathak perfomer Dheerandra Tiwari then showcases his lively performance style exploring the dance form itself, inspired by the Advaita philosophy teachings about how to reach a state of spiritual bliss, revealed to gods.
