A synopsis of The Lehman Trilogy
Following its sold-out run at the National Theatre, The Lehman Trilogy is now wowing audiences at the West End’s Piccadilly Theatre. The story follows a family and a company that changed the world and is told to you in three parts over the course of the evening. It begins in 1844 on a cold morning in September, with a young man from Bavaria standing on a New York dockside. He dreams of a new life in the new world. The American dream wasn’t a popularised term then but still it’s what was at play here as this young man and his two brothers begin their journey. The story jumps ahead, 163 years ahead to be exact, where their firm, Lehman Brothers, collapses into bankruptcy, a catalyst for the largest financial crisis in history.
Book your tickets for this spectacular production of The Lehman Trilogy directed by Sam Mendes, whilst it’s showing at the Piccadilly Theatre and get an amazing meal deal ticket whilst the offer lasts!
