Hedwig and the Angry Inch!
Hedwig and the Angry Inch is a raucous musical comedy that tells the story of a fictional rock n' roll band and is adapted from the hit film.
About Hedgwig and the Angry Inch
Hedwig and the Angry Inch tells the story of Hanschel, a feminine boy living in communist East Berlin, who undergoes a botched sex change operation, moves to London and later becomes the internationally ignored rock star, Hedwig.
This production breaks the fourth wall, as Hedwig directly engages with the audience to recount her life story and share her struggles with heartbreak and self-discovery through rock music. With the help of her band and backup singer Yitzhak, Hedwig reflects on her search for love and identity. Stephen Trask's groundbreaking rock score makes this show both hilarious and harrowing, while ultimately conveying a message of empowerment for anyone who has ever felt like an outsider.
Further details to be announced.

Hedwig Is Coming To London!... Hopefully.
It was recently announced that Hedwig And The Angry Inch (a show about an East German, genderqueer musician named Hedwig Robinson) is having its final performance on Broadway on September 13th, and with it came the news that a West End production might be on the cards. Reports are conflicting, creator John Cameron Mitchell was quoted as saying the show is “definitely coming to the West End,” while composer Stephen Trask countered, saying there are still no definite plans for a transfer. However, it got me thinking about who I'd like to see play the genderqueer rock star here in London in the future.
