With words and music by five-time Tony Award nominee Michael John LaChiusa, Queen Of The Mist tells the incredible true story of Anna Edson Taylor who, at the dawn of the 20th century on her 63rd birthday, set out to become the first person to survive a trip over the notoriously dangerous Niagara Falls in a barrel of her own design. Based on the astounding and outrageous true story of a woman who risked death so that she could live, La Chiusa mixes his insightful and captivating style with turn of the century themes to bring us an award-winning musical.
The original 2011 Off-Broadway production of Queen Of The Mist won the Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding New Off-Broadway Musical and was nominated for six Drama Desk Awards, including Outstanding Musical.
Cast and Creatives of Queen Of The Mist
The original cast of Queen Of The Mist will reprise their roles for the limited West End season. The cast will once again be headed by Trudi Camilleri (Ragtime, Death Takes a Holiday) playing Anna Edson Taylor. She will be joined by Will Arundell (Mack & Mabel), Emily Juler, Emma Ralston, Tom Blackmore, Conor McFarlane and Andrew Carter.
Music and words by 4-time Tony Award nominee Michael John LaChiusa known for shows such as Hello Again, Marie Christine, The Wild Party and See What I Wanna See. The acclaimed production by the Pint of Wine Theatre Company is directed by Dom O'Hanlon.

Charing Cross Theatre to receive Queen Of The Mist transfer
It has been announced that Michael John LaChiusa’s historical musical Queen Of The Mist will receive a West End transfer to London’s Charing Cross Theatre for a limited 7-week run from 15 August to 5 October 2019. The news comes following a successful UK premiere at the Off-West End venue Jack Studio Theatre in April this year.
