Joining the cast are Kona Holdbrook-Smith as Ike Turner, Madeline Appiah as Zelma Bullock (Tina's mother) and Lorna Gayle as Tina's Grandmother. Jenny Fitzpatrick will be the alternate Tina while Tom Godwin has been announced to play Record Producer Phil Spector and Lyricist Terry Britten. Francesca Jackson will play Ike and Tina's manager, Rhonda Graam while Aisha Jawando will play Tina's sister Alline Bullock. Natey Jones will play both Tina's father, Richard Bullock and her first love, Raymond Hill. Gerard McCarthy will play record company Marketing Manager Erwin Bach and Ryan O'Donnell will be Tina's Manager Roger Davies.
Casting has also been announced for these ensemble members: Tsemaye Bob-Egbe, Keisher Downie, Kit Esuruoso who also plays Tina’s son Craig Hill, Jammy Kasongo, Sia Kiwa, Jason Langley, Kayleigh McKnight, Baker Mukasa and Tanisha Spring. They are joined by swings Derek Aidoo, Gavin Alex, Edward Bourne, Candace Furbert, Hannah Jay-Allan and Rodney Vubya.
Tina will be directed by Phyllida Lloyd and was written by Katori Hall with Frank Ketelaar and Kees Prins.TINA will have its world premiere at the Aldwych Theatre in April 2018. Performances will begin on 21 March 2018 ahead of a press night on 17 April 2018.
