Tickets to see Fiddler on the Roof at the Playhouse Theatre now on sale!
Tickets to see the Menier Chocolate Factory production of Fiddler on the Roof sold out completely before many theatre fans even had the chance to book them. Now with the Playhouse Theatre production announced, you've been given a second chance. Be sure to beat the rush for tickets and book for Fiddler on the Roof early!
What are the best seats at the Playhouse Theatre?
As a Victorian-style venue with a seating capacity for just 780 patrons, the Playhouse Theatre isn't as large as other West End theatres. However, don't let its smaller size fool you as you can still be left wondering where to sit. Since time is of the essence when booking Fiddler on the Roof tickets, we wanted to prevent you from 'fiddling' for too long when searching for the perfect seat by taking out all the guesswork for you.
The best Playhouse Theatre seats are located in the Stalls since they have no restricted views. However, there still runs the risk of taller audience members blocking the view in front of you due to a gradual rake. In order to avoid this, try to aim for centrally located seats in the Stalls if possible. For thriftier ticket buyers looking to save an extra buck while still getting decent views, try the Dress Circle. The front row of the Dress Circle is generally cheaper than other seats in this area due to the balcony curve, and though they may offer less legroom, you'll save more money when booking Fiddler on the Roof! You can also get cheap Fiddler on the Roof tickets when you aim to book seats in Row E of the Dress Circle, which are not only usually offered at a discount but also boast fantastic views. For the best Fiddler on the Roof seats, only book seats in the Upper Circle as a last resort as this seating area is generally uncomfortable with very distant views from the stage.
What is the Fiddler on the Roof play about?
A dairy farmer named Tevye is a very old-fashioned Jewish man who does everything in his power to stay true to the Jewish traditions of his forebears. And like many fathers in the small village of Anatevka, he just wants to raise his children the proper way. Now that it's time to find the right suitors for his daughters to wed, he soon comes to realise that the younger generation have learned to listen to their heart and not their family's traditions. Set against the backdrop of 1905's Tsarist Russia where a national uprising is just around the corner, Tevye couldn't have picked a harder time to keep his longstanding customs alive.
Fiddler on the Roof is booking at the Playhouse Theatre from 21 March 2019 until 15 June 2019. Don't let this sell-out show pass you by or you may just live to regret it!
