The show has now been seen by over 6 million people, and has played over 3000 performances in London alone.
It remains Broadway's "biggest blockbuster" (The New York Times), after more than a decade at the Gershwin Theatre. Around the world, Wicked has been seen by 42 million people in 13 countries and has won an outstanding 100 international awards.
The Wicked London production recently welcomed back Kerry Ellis, London's original Elphaba. She will star for a limited run from 4 August to 25 October 2014, and is joined by Savannah Stevenson (Glinda), Jeremy Taylor (Fiyero), Sue Kelvin (Madame Morrible), Martyn Ellis (The Wizard), Paul Clarkson (Doctor Dilamond), Sam Lupton (Boq), and Katie Rowley Jones (Nessarose).
While the London production continues its wildly successful and open-ended run, another spectacular new production of Wicked is also on a tour of the UK until the summer of 2015. The touring production has not fallen short of Wicked's legacy, "this thrillingly entertaining show" (Manchester Evening News) has broken countless Box Office records and won multiple five star reviews as it wowed audiences across England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.
Wicked has music and lyrics by multi-Grammy and Academy Award winner Stephen Schwartz, a book by Winnie Holzman, musical staging by Wayne Cilento and is directed by two-time Tony Award winner and Olivier Award nominee Joe Mantello.
