A good adaptation that didn’t stray too far from the original text, which is very important with small children. My daughter is 2 & 1/2 and was totally absorbed, I would happily take her to see it every couple of years until at least the age of 8, as I’m sure there is more she would get out of it. However we were both disappointed that it wasn’t a real whale.

Imaginatively told tale appreciated on many levels. My Kids loved the slapstick and the water pistols. I enjoyed the observations on parenthood. Thoroughly recommended!

Thiago Alvim de Souza

Amazing. Recomend for all

Tushar Kumar

Poorly conceived. Kids go to a play to watch the story being played out, not a series of extraneous things being done on stage and actors reciting the story almost as a side narrative.

Rob M

Too much deviation from the story and then went a bit 'panto' and not in a good way. If we had wanted panto we would have booked one. We wanted a beautiful story to be told in an engaging and magical way. It wasn't.

Catherine Marcus

It didn’t feel particularly kid focused and meandered wildly at times

Guy freeman

Very disappointing. A very animated story that could be so much better delivered through a theatrical performance. We left before the end and wouldn’t recommend this at all

Elanor Ogidi

A little slow to start but enjoyed as it warmed up. My 2yr old was able to join in with the audience participation, which he relished. Lovely combo of music and creative use of set. Simplistic & heartwarming. Particularly enjoyed the actress who played the young girl.

Ruby

I think stage lighting could have been more capturing and themed

Miss Hazel Jones

Was a great show and very well presented. The cast were fab and interaction with the audience was amazing. It should have been advertised when buying the tickets that it was more suitable for 4+ years but my little boy enjoyed it still.

Ashish Agar

Imaginative production engaging younger kids with great audience participation

Jennifer Pakenham-Walsh

It was ok but the show was a bit fragmented for my liking, it didnt really grip me although it engaged my child for the first 40 minutes because it was a bit scatty.
