World-class actors in a play by a world-class writer for a strictly limited run. Secure your tickets to The Height of the Storm now.
André and Madeleine are in love and married, they have been for more than 50 years. As their daughters visit for the weekend things seem out of sorts. Flowers arrive, but where did they come from? A woman visits, but who is she and why is she there? André feels untethered, invisible and we are left to wonder what is happening.
Florian Zeller, stunning French author and playwright and winner of numerous prestigious international awards including an Olivier Award for The Truth, recently had three of his works playing in the West End simultaneously. The Height of the Storm is his first return to the West End since. This major new work is a poignant study of the family, life, love and memory. It brings together two of the greatest actors of a generation, Jonathan Pryce and Dame Eileen Atkins, to tread the boards together for the first time.
The Height of the Storm stars Jonathan Pryce as Andre and Dame Eileen Atkins as Madeline. Pryce is an internationally acclaimed and award winning actor of screen (Glengarry Glen Ross, Carrington, Evita) and stage (The Merchant of Venice, Comedians, Miss Saigon). He most recently appeared in the astoundingly successful Game of Thrones as the High Sparrow. Atkins is a 3 time Olivier Award winning actress, with BAFTA and Emmy awards alongside other numerous prestigious nominations. She is known for her numerous screen (Gosford Park, The Hours, Robin Hood) and stage (Honour, Retreat from Moscow, Ellen Terry) triumphs. She most recently appeared as Queen Mary in the Netflix drama The Crown.
Pryce and Atkins are joined by Amanda Drew as Anne, Anna Madeley as Elise and James Hillier and Lucy Cohu as The Man and The Woman, respectively.
The Height of the Storm tickets for this strictly limited 8 week run are in extremely high demand. Book now to avoid disappointment.

The Height of the Storm
At first, I was confused about what was happening, particularly by the way in which the characters spoke of their parents or spouses in the past tense along with the references to the “situation “ and the “condition” which Andre had.
