Following a sell-out run at the Young Vic that had theatre critics glowing with praise and people clambering for tickets, The Inheritance is making its way to the Noel Coward Theatre. Matthew Lopez’s incredible masterpiece was inspired by E.M. Forster’s Howard’s End and is directed by two-time Olivier and two-time Tony award winning director Stephen Daldry.

What do we owe those who came before us, and those who will come after us?
Featuring the Tony, Olivier, Oscar, and Emmy winning actress Vanessa Redgrave, on stage in the West End for the first time in 7 years, The Inheritance stars Tony winner John Benjamin Hickey alongside Hugo Bolton, Robert Boulter, Andrew Burnap, Hubert Burton, Paul Hilton, Samuel H. Levine, Syrus Lowe, Michael Marcus, Kyle Soller and Michael Walters.

Incredibly moving and thought provoking look at the real life challenges faced by gay men. It makes you laugh, and cry, and feel. Highly recommended for all gay men and their supporters.
I cant find the words for this beautiful, heart breaking, joyous masterclass in what theatre should be. Completely in love and cant get it out of my head.
Really well-executed play, I left the theatre in tears. Excellent acting and story!
Amazing!!! A theatrical experience that is second to none .
very talented cast and interesting story
Loved the simplistic staging which drew your focus entirely onto the characters who were excellent in their unfolding of the story.
One of the best I’ve ever seen. Outrageously funny, witty, tearful, moving (to tears). Great acting, masterful use of stage. Perfect!
What an amazing play, incredible performance! A must see!
An absorbing tale of vivid characters and their legacies. One of the best pieces of theatre I have seen over the last few years. The acting was nuanced and script used comedy to create a buzz while the characters, especially Eric, Morgan/Walter and Henry got me to see life with a new understanding. A delight!
A moving and noble attempt to record for posterity the experiences of gay men amongst a group of people from New York City spanning the pre-AIDS era to the present day including historical references to the life and influences of E M Forster. A moving and surreal scene ended the first part of this mammoth work: greeting the long dead friends of one of the newly deceased main characters, acted and staged to evoke Da Vinci's painting of the Last Supper.
Good play, well acted. Slightly unnecessarily graphic on the gay stuff!!
Excellent on every level - writing, performance, direction. A riveting theater experience.
