Award-winning play Mother of Him

Based on a true story, Mother of Him focuses on a family that could be like any other, children and a parent who could be like any other, but they aren’t. Brenda usually has plenty to manage between her professional life, getting 8-year-old Jason off to school and managing her eldest, Matthew. And now things are even more difficult to bear.

Matthew is her oldest boy. Matthew is on house arrest. Matthew is accused of truly heinous crimes. There are media camped outside and Hanukkah is fast approaching. Brenda struggles to hold her family together all whilst guilt is tearing her apart inside. A mother’s love is unconditional, isn’t it?

Faith Summers

Very thought provoking and a wonderful performance.

Victoria Martin

An extremely powerful play and a superb central performance by Oberman. The little lad who played Jason was astonishing, too. The script was excellent.

Tracy Ayles

Fantastic performance

Mandie McGarry

Totally absorbing

Veta Ferent

Outstanding!!

Colm McElroy

Though the subject matter was fraught, the acting was superlative all round - Ms. Obermann especially was tremendous. At the play's conclusion all the audience in my vicinity had been reduced to tears - due to the strong emotional pull which the acting exerted over it. The only negative - I always like a souvenir programme but was informed that none was available, it apparently having being sold out prior to last Saturday's performance!!

Sandra Gray

Great theatre in a easy location. Play was really interesting and kept my attention all the way through. Lots to think about.

cheryl hoy

Excellent actors and a great story line. As a mother I could really relate to it.

Emma Stacey

Great play, cool venue, seats a bit uncomfortable

Ann Scambler

Excellent acting

Mrs Barbara Freed

Superbly acted...heavy, but always captivated my attention. Great performance by Matt Goldberg.
