After 20 years they're back! One Word Improv, the return.

Stephen Frost (Impro AllstarsSuki Webster (Paul Merton Impro ChumsNeil Mullarkey (Comedy Store Players) and some bloke they met in a pub, Eddie Izzard, or something. You give them one word and off they go! No script, no rehearsals... but laughs aplenty.

Pure Impro, pure enjoyment, puerile. What more could you want? Old hands, new laughs.

Eddie Izzard returns to the West End, arriving at London’s Palace Theatre for one more performance only!

Izzard is well known for his rambling style of comedy, often brining a whimsical stream of consciousness to the stage, much to the audiences’ bemusement. True to form,  promises to deliver the audience with laughs a plenty.

For the past three years Izzard has been touring the globe, presenting his stand-up comedy show to audiences in four different languages. By the time - One Word Improv reaches the Palace Theatre, it will have been seen by audiences in Ireland, Russia, South Africa, Canada, the United States and regional parts of the UK and London

For one performance only, book Eddie Izzard - One Word Improv on 12 February

Loved seeing Eddie live. A good night out and enjoyed it. The improv itself could have been better and more "Laugh Out Loud" moments. It got a little lost at times, but nice to see everyone relaxed and enjoying themselves on stage (and off) which made for a great atmosphere overall.

I've followed Eddie for years.... big fan. So glad to be on the planet at the same time. Lovely touch to hear the Bowie background tracks. Fitting artist to play as has obviously been an inspiration to Eddie & has also been for me. Carry On Izzard!

Eddie was brilliant, but the London Theatre Direct through whom I booked had omitted to advise the Palace Theatre where he is showing that four tickets should be waiting at the box office. Caused some drama, but resolved in the end.

Edward Selfe

Outstanding!! Nothing less!!

Margaret Brady

Eddie love him a lot. Traded too much on reputation, things he had done, and silly voices. I like Stream of consciousness stuff and OK for devotee, but more insight and maybe adhering to some of the basic rules of comedy. Loved his earlier stuff but not yesterday at £54

Great show. Have been a fan for over thirty years. However, didn't like the fact the audience were kept waiting for 15 minutes without an explanation.

I've heard this had bad reviews. Don't know why. This was exactly as described in at least 3 languages. Yes, he referred to previous topics but this was an opportunity to build on them and go off on yet more tangents. Of course Mr Stevens was mentioned and the spaghetti carbonara and, I'm still not sure why Marc Anthony is a chicken...but both brought joy to the crowd. For those that know the last 50 years in the UK and/or have heard previous performances, all will be crystal clear, others may be slightly baffled in places but the conversations with himself and the inner desperation we have all felt to be what we want to be and know why we are here will pull the rest of humanity in...unless, of course, you really are an omniscient alien with mechanical legs...

The man is a comedy god! Brilliantly funny.

Graham Kemp
