An enjoyable comedy set in 1944 featuring one of the impacts of the family separations which had occurred in WW2. Great performance from Eve Best and her two main counterparts.

Brilliant. I was gripped from the first minute.

An excellent entertainment. A very good story, very funny and I was still laughing when I got home.

Terence Rattigan is such a good playwright, and this, though not one of his very best, is very watchable. Emily (Eve) Best was excellent as she always is, and her comic timing and that of Anthony Head were perfect, though sometimes they were quite difficult to hear.

Traditional theatre, beautifully constructed, well acted and most enjoyable. A delightful experience as theatre should be.

I thought it was brilliant and thoroughly enjoyed laughing one minute and feeling sad the next! The storyline was so believable and the situation so likely to arise even today, everyone could identify with the struggle that Olivia had. Acting by all was excellent. Congrats to all those involved.

Typical Rattigan, excellent plot & acting, especially by Anthony Head, who stole the show. Trevor Nunn's direction was spot on. We were in the stalls on the sixth row, but although we have no hearing issues, we had difficulties in detecting many of the lines from the key characters (apart from Anthony Head who was fine). So, some of the actors need to work on their voice projection.
