What is The Smartest Giant in Town about?
Featuring music and puppets, it’s going to be a giant-sized adventure! Join George, a giant who’s fed up with being the scruffiest guy in town. Throwing away his tired old dressing gown, he stumbles upon a new clothes shop that sells gorgeous, ginormous, garments and they all fit him perfectly! Excited by the idea of fresh new threads, George decides to update his wardrobe with smart trousers, a crisp shirt, a stripy tie, and shiny shoes!
As George parades through town, feeling like the smartest giant around, he encounters some animals in need of his assistance - and his clothes! This heartwarming story of generosity is sure to bring joy to children and leave them with smiles on their faces all day long!

Bought tickets for a family outing with the 4 grandsons aged from 6.5 to 2. They all really enjoyed the show. The adults all had a good time too. The youngest member of the family managed to sit still for the whole show. Would thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for a children’s outing at the theatre.
This was a fantastic production. The set, props and puppets were brilliantly designed. My daughter loves the book and she enjoyed watching it come to life. The actors were fantastic, both with their different accents and singing.

Sadly, The Smartest Giant in Town lacked the magic one hopes for in children’s theater. The story felt dry and uninspired, failing to captivate its young audience. The puppets didn’t even open their mouths, making it hard to connect with the characters. The “giant” wasn’t giant enough, lacking any sense of scale or presence. Overall, the production felt cheap, with sparse sets and little creativity. This play missed the mark on delivering a truly enchanting experience.
Great show for kids. My 2.5 yo one loved it. Fun, engaging and just the right duration for little ones.
